Built in the 13th century, the church of Saint Mary stands proud as a beacon of Christian hope, love and faith. It also has the privilege of having had the longest-serving priest in the country the Reverend Falconer, now buried in the churchyard. Currently it is one of the six churches making up the Bacton benefice.
As with all churches, renovations and repairs are constantly being carried out, and much of this is only possible through the money raised by the Friends of St Mary's. They hold wonderful themed supper evenings during the year, serve excellent lunches every month and organise various activities as occasions arise.
The church has a choir and good team of bell ringers. Do contact one of the wardens if you’d like to be part of either of those teams.
We hold a variety of different services each month, all at 11am and all family friendly. Why not join us?
